Friday11 July 2014 (Day 16)
We are travelling from Fitzroy Crossing to Broome
Away again and on our way to Broome, it was for us, a very quick trip less than 400km and we are here and pitched by lunch. It is a mild 29 degrees with a little cloud cover.
Terry's quick weather check suggests rain for Saturday and Sunday...well knowing our history of camping, it wouldn't be a Webb camping trip if we didn't get rain. We are here for 4 nights so have added the awning which if it rains will provide some protection.
We ventured into China Town for a look, still a lot of original buildings being restored and utilised. Found the Egyptian Kebab place recommended by Peter and Deb (will go there for lunch tomorrow maybe). Many jewellery stores specialising in the pearls that make Broome famous and some lovely ones as that.
We drove to Cable beach not exactly intending to, it just happened and saw pre-sunset...so many people with their deck chairs and big tripod camera's ready for the last hurrah of the day. The colours almost pastel in their shades, very pretty.
