Saturday 12 July 2014 (Day 17)

We are staying in Broome

We slept in a bit this morning, waking up to an overcast and pending rain sky. It didn't take long before the sky opened and the rain kept us company on and off all day.

In search of a pearl as a memento of our trip, I coaxed the boys in and out of the jewellery stores but alas come home empty handed. We enjoyed our look around though and did have lunch at the Egyptian Kebab place, a very popular one too.

We had a walk down the town jetty and booking into our Camel Ride on Cable Beach. A little disappointed that the sunset rides were booked out, we opted for the pre sunset for Monday afternoon, hopefully the rain will have passed by then. We also booked into to a self drive pearl farm tour at Willie Creek Pearl Farm tomorrow. They are a local pearl grower, hopefully it will be interesting and fun.

The rain has kept the temperatures down and we are back into our jeans and jumpers...much prefer the Northern Territory weather.
