Saturday 26 July 2014 (Day 31)

We are travelling from Camooweal to Cloncurry

A very uneventful sort of travel day today (not that we are looking for too much of that). Tending to Terry's ankle we made a decision to have it seen to at Mt Isa on our way through to Cloncurry.

We were aware of a new medical centre having opened in Mt Isa but we drove in around 11.30 and not sure what their opening hours where on a Saturday went straight to the Emergency Department. Apparently the medical centre would have sent Terry here anyway for the X-ray so they saw Terry then. A very efficient and new looking hospital too had Terry seen, X-ray and discharge in about 11/2hrs and the staff were very nice. No fracture which we were very happy about and orders to continue as we had been with compression bandage, topical and systemic anti-inflammatories and rest. The first two I can do, the resting bit we try to do but will mostly have to wait till we are home.
