Sunday 27 July 2014 (Day 32) and Monday 28 July 2014 (Day 33)

We are travelling from Cloncurry to Longreach

We love Longreach and are very much looking forward to the 2 night stay. Every now and again with this sort of touring we find ourselves feeling tired and weary.

Arriving on Sunday was not actually planned but fabulous; nothing to do but sit around and read a book or blog as it would have it (we took the opportunity for a little catching up, thank you for your patience). It never ceases to amaze us that this caravan park is always full. People come and go each day but the numbers never seem to drop. That may well change in the summertime.

We are hearing the stock trains come and go and some retired Qantas aircraft fly over.We toyed with the idea of seeing the Qantas Founders Museum but none of us are really interested in moving so we don't. We never tire of the outback sunsets with their pink skies and silhouetted surroundings.

Nathan is keen to find himself a new stockman's whip. He was given one many years ago and now that his is 175cm tall and still growing thought he'd like to check them out. Monday morning we head to town after a leisurely brunch.  Nathan was successful and back at camp he test's it out great cracking sound (I'm glad not too many people have come into the park yet). We enjoy another very quiet and restful afternoon, reminiscing many of the places we have seen and experienced this holiday knowing we are now only a few days out from home. Both a good and sad feeling.
